Amtrol Fill-Trol Expansion Tanks
Flanged tank with a removable Amtrol
The Amtrol is an elongated flexible "pear", less "ball" (Amtrol Fill-Trol). Widely used in radiant heating systems and plumbing. A distinctive feature of these tanks is that the liquid in them is entirely within the Amtrol and not in contact with the metal of the tank, therefore, the inner surface of the tank does not require coverage. Wetted with water of the pot is made of materials with special coating or stainless steel.
Fill-Trol Expansion Tanks such as Fill-Trol 109, Fill-Trol 110, Fill-Trol 111 come in horizontal and vertical. Immediately it should be noted that the most appropriate location of the tank is such in which the Amtrol when filling it with liquid is loaded symmetrically, and then there is no additional tensile loads, which may be one reason for breaking the Amtrol Fill-Trol. If the damage of the Amtrol of its replacement is made through the flange, fixed with a few bolts. When large amounts of the expansion tank Amtrol of this type is fixed to the rear end through the nipple fitting to stabilize the fill.
